MatricCamp

This is so overdue, but whatevs. MatricCamp2014. The whole grade was excited. We planned so much cute and awesome stuff!!! Campfires, singing songs with guitars while braaing marshmallows.  Midnight hikes. Pranking friends. Staying up all night, watching the sunset the next day. Swimming. Our grade bonding!!! Boy, were we wrong. I'm going to be honest. I won't say our Matric Camp was bad, but it wasn't entirely amazing and memorable. We tried to make the most of it. But it's much more complicated. I could've posted this earlier because I can't even remember half of the stuff that happend. :/ Okay. So when we arrived at this place in the middle of nowhere, the boys had the best cabins!! It was spacious, it had a lounge, a couch, nice bathrooms. The girls were divided into 3 groups. The first group had a cabin on top of the main hall. The 2nd group had one huge cabin opposite the boys cabin. And the leftover group, which my friends and I were in, recieved ...

A for ALPHEN!!!

The 31st of January,  Norman Henshilwoods annual interhouse athletics. Alphen, Maynard, Silverhurst, Constantia.  These 4 houses compete to see who will win, of course.   This year, the team spirit was judged too, and a house can also win a spirit trophy. I've been in Alphen for all 5 years of my high school career. I love being in Alphen. Everyone was like one big family. And our colour, red, is so vibrant. The whole school was divided in the hall according to their house. The cheerleaders from each house had to go on stage and battle it out. I was a cheerleader, but at first I wasn't too happy about being one,  but what the heck, its my last year and no matter if we suck, I'm cheering with my soul for my house♥ Alphen's theme was Warriors, or 'brave heart' (something like that). It was the first year we decided to make up our own cheers, not just use 100 year old boring cheers. All 4 houses were craved to win the spirit trophy. I thought to myself, even...
