Tell It Like It Is | Side Chicks

Side Chicks are totally bad and can ruin your relationship. But, guys, we know you most of you want one. I'm not giving any scientific facts, I'm simply just stating what we were all thinking anyway.

Nobody wants to be someone's side chick, am I right?
If you think of it, it's not all bad being a side chick (I'm not saying this from experience). I know, who would ever think that being a side chick is actually great? But, seriously, just take the time to think of it.
You get the main chick and the side chick. The main chick is the actual girlfriend that everyone knows about and your Instagram selfie buddy with the hashtag #InstaCouple. But then you get the side chick. Not everyone knows about her, probably not even your main chick. But your side chick knows she's your side chick.

Okay, so I'm guessing that didn't really convince you that being a side chick is better than the main chick, its probably not. But it has its perks.

Metaphorical example: Let's say for supper you are going to have chicken and mash potatoes. We all know that the chicken is the main dish, and the mash potatoes are obviously the side dish. Now, I love mash potatoes, probably more than I love chicken, but I won't eat the mash potatoes just like that, you HAVE to have it with the chicken, or it wouldn't make sense. Imagine eating just mash potatoes as food. You must have chicken with it!!!
This is just like how guys see side chicks, like mash potato. They are amazing, probably better than the main one, but they can't JUST have the side, ya know what I'm saying?
(I just used mash potatoes as an example but you could think of it as french fries too).

Literal example: There was this boy in my grade (not mentioning any names) who was basically known for having this side chick. I don't know the whole story, I'm just putting the pieces together of the rumours that went about. Anyway, apparently he was always in a bad place with his 'main chick' aka actual girlfriend, even though his Instagram was flooded with her as #WCW as if they were happy. Everyone knew that he had this side chick that he was happy with, and the side chick knew she was the side chick, her nickname was literally 'side chick'. He had been with his girlfriend for a long time, but guess who he decides to take to his matricball.....Side Chick. Can we see who's winning here?

The thing is, why would he have a side chick if he had a girlfriend? In my opinion, it's more exciting, the thrill of doing something rebellious for once. It makes life more interesting. Side chicks are more fun, no relationship drama and they are probably less boring than your actual girlfriend (that's why you have a side chick, duh ).

I'm not saying that side chicks are a good thing, actually, it should be illegal. According to research (AKA me stalking people's relationships from a distance) it is found that, the happier you are in a relationship, the less likely you are found to have a side chick. Which kind of makes sense, because why would you want to have a side chick if you are happy with your relationship?

BTW I'm not generalising, as I said, there are those lucky couples with no sides. And this does not only refer to the guys having side chicks, some girls also have side dudes.

I've asked many people 'Why do people have sides?' and most of the answers I received was 'To brag by their friends' or 'because they are not happy with their relationship'.
I'm sorry, but bragging by your friends about how unfaithful you are to your girlfriend/boyfriend does not make you a better person. And if you aren't happy with your relationship, why are you still in it? #UnansweredLifeQuestions

One thing I don't understand is when the main chick knows that her boyfriend has a side chick, but she is still in a relationship with him. Like, girl, your man is 'koppeling feelings' with another girl, and you're okay with it?

Another thing I don't understand is how the hell are side chicks okay with being a side chick? You know he has a girlfriend! Why are you still there? Honestly, what goes through their mind? Do you have a brain or nah? 

Some things I just won't ever understand.
