No Fear, New Year

New Year New Me!!! Time to change my hairstyle, the way I dress and complete my journey of being a total hipster!!! OH HELL NO.

Honestly, I don't think that we should change ourselves just because one digit in the year changes. I am the same person I was yesterday AKA last year. Yes, I know, we can't help the excitement of the new year and new memories to be made. And another thing that many might disagree on is that I don't really believe in 'New Year Resolutions'. Okay, it is cool to have goals for the year, but we put so much pressure on trying to achieve those goals, we dont even get close to achieving it. And apparently it's the new cool thing to have new years resolutions. But, at the end of the day, we are all entitled to our own opinions :) So good luck with attempting to bungee jump this year.

What I do believe in, is having a motto for the year and incorporate the motto into everything you do. I can recall in 2013 my motto was: 'You'll never be crowned if you always back down', and I worked damn hard that year to ensure that I would be on the exec of the school council for the next year. Last year (2014) I was more on the 'YOLO' side of life, and no, not the 'I'm going to party till I die' kind of YOLO, but more of the 'It is my last year at school, so what the hell' kind of YOLO.

This year, is all about embrace. Express, not Impress.

May the odds be ever in your favour... Every year I'm excited for our schools birthday, there's always exciting things happening the whole week!!! This week was also literature week, so there were many things literaturical happening. On Friday, we could dress up as any character from a novel. Tell It Like It Is | Side Chicks

Side Chicks are totally bad and can ruin your relationship. But, guys, we know you most of you want one. I'm not giving any scientific facts, I'm simply just stating what we were all thinking anyway. Nobody wants to be someone's side chick, am I right? If you think of it, it's not all bad being a side chick (I'm not saying this from experience). I know, who would ever think that being a side chick is actually great? But, seriously, just take the time to think of it. You get the main chick and the side chick. The main chick is the actual girlfriend that everyone knows about and your Instagram selfie buddy with the hashtag #InstaCouple. But then you get the side chick. Not everyone knows about her, probably not even your main chick. But your side chick knows she's your side chick. Grey Area

I've BEEN wanting to wear this coat and pants for the longest time. I took the opportunity when I travelled to Johannesburg ( #CozyInJozi ) recently to build an outfit around these 2 pieces.  Firstly, this coat: SO COMFY. I wore it on the airplane and it felt like a blanket/gown. I feel like it elevates any outfit and it's such an essential piece. It's not the warmest coat ever, it's pretty thin, but I don't mind as it allows me to layer underneath and it gives a more relaxed oversized fit. Okay, the pants. I've been eyeing these at Cotton On ever since it released. The fit of it is amazing and I love the slits at the bottom. I always have this problem when I wear flare pants that You can't see my shoes because my feet are so small. This is a game changer for me and I'll definitely be wearing it more.
