Ballin'


I always thought it would be stupid to attend a matricball when you have already passed matric, but when on of my friends asked me, I was like: hey, why not? I mean, I didn't have a partner last year to my own matricball and I wanted to know how it would be to have one. And plus, I get a dress out of it as well.

Everyone is so sick of seeing me in shades of blue and green, but when I found this piece of lace laying around in my grandma's sewing room I had to go with it! Besides, I love shades of teal, it's more mermaid-y that way. 

I was a bit disappointed when my friend had to cancel on doing my hair and make-up. But my other friends stepped in and did a good job for a last-minute matricball do.(We do not know how to use a curling iron properly but okay)

what was also pretty cool is that I wore heels to this matricball, and don't worry, I did not fall. Okay, maybe I slipped a little here and there but I don't think anyone noticed ;) 

It was great seeing my ex-teachers and my friends from the younger grades and even a few people from my own matric class. 

Anyhoo, time to get my shiz together and start studying some engineering mathematics.

May the odds be ever in your favour... Every year I'm excited for our schools birthday, there's always exciting things happening the whole week!!! Tell It Like It Is | Side Chicks

Side Chicks are totally bad and can ruin your relationship. But, guys, we know you most of you want one. I'm not giving any scientific facts, I'm simply just stating what we were all thinking anyway. Nobody wants to be someone's side chick, am I right? If you think of it, it's not all bad being a side chick (I'm not saying this from experience). I know, who would ever think that being a side chick is actually great? But, seriously, just take the time to think of it. You get the main chick and the side chick. The main chick is the actual girlfriend that everyone knows about and your Instagram selfie buddy with the hashtag #InstaCouple. But then you get the side chick. Grey Area

I've BEEN wanting to wear this coat and pants for the longest time. I took the opportunity when I travelled to Johannesburg ( #CozyInJozi ) recently to build an outfit around these 2 pieces.  Firstly, this coat: SO COMFY. I wore it on the airplane and it felt like a blanket/gown. I feel like it elevates any outfit and it's such an essential piece. It's not the warmest coat ever, it's pretty thin, but I don't mind as it allows me to layer underneath and it gives a more relaxed oversized fit. Okay, the pants. I've been eyeing these at Cotton On ever since it released. The fit of it is amazing and I love the slits at the bottom. I always have this problem when I wear flare pants that You can't see my shoes because my feet are so small. This is a game changer for me and I'll definitely be wearing it more.
