Best Looks From Coachella 2016


Everyone's at this hype every single year on what celebrities are wearing to Coachella. But hey, no one appreciates the non-celebrtities that may or may not have a way better sense of fashion than your favourite celebrities. So, I've gathered a few of my favourite outfits from Coachella put together by totally normal people like you and me.

When it comes to the fashion of Coachella, it evolved so much in the past few years. Keeping that Boho vibe but implementing different pieces to make it more original. This year, it seemed like the whole fashion vibe was extreamly "boho-grunge", if ya get what i'm saying?
I'm talking about statement neck pieces, spacebuns, chokers, but still embracing the cool, laidback, hippie element.



In this outfit below, I'm loving the freshness of the white and the flowyness of the skirt which has the boho element. the choker, glasses and hair bun totally gives it that kick of edge.


Space Buns were a huge thing at Coachella this year and as you can see, this outfit below gave more of the grunge element, but keeping it hippie with the fringe and the flower cut of the choker.


Bandanas suprsed me this year I did not see that coming if I'm being honest, but I'm glad they were a thing because I AM LOVING IT. It bridges the gap between boho and grunge as well as denim.


Overalls are possibly the most easiest item to wear at Coachella since you honestly can't go wrong with it. It's comfortable and stylish and you can dress it up or down as much as you want and still look good.


Is it just me or do you notice that many people were avoiding the typical flower crowns this year. Since Coachella has become much edgier than years before, if people wear flower crowns this year, their whole outfit would be super edgy to balance it out.


Some people did the total opposite and when their accessories were super edgy, they toned it down with a fresh, flowy dress.


If your'e not so boho at all and too scared to pull off a flowy dress, you could go super grunge and add fringe since fringe was a very big element this year and gives off the Coachella vibe.



I thought this outfit below was extremely pretty and creative and it really made it to the top of my list of favourites.


Off the shoulder tops were totally taking over this year. But be sure to have your hair in an updo since it neutralises the whole look.

Coachella was really something this year and no, I did not attend unfortunately. But I'm extremely excited for what next year's fashion is to be !

Tell It Like It Is | Side Chicks

Side Chicks are totally bad and can ruin your relationship. But, guys, we know you most of you want one. I'm not giving any scientific facts, I'm simply just stating what we were all thinking anyway. Nobody wants to be someone's side chick, am I right? If you think of it, it's not all bad being a side chick (I'm not saying this from experience). I know, who would ever think that being a side chick is actually great? But, seriously, just take the time to think of it. You get the main chick and the side chick. The main chick is the actual girlfriend that everyone knows about and your Instagram selfie buddy with the hashtag #InstaCouple. But then you get the side chick. Grey Area

I've BEEN wanting to wear this coat and pants for the longest time. I took the opportunity when I travelled to Johannesburg ( #CozyInJozi ) recently to build an outfit around these 2 pieces.  Firstly, this coat: SO COMFY. I wore it on the airplane and it felt like a blanket/gown. I feel like it elevates any outfit and it's such an essential piece. It's not the warmest coat ever, it's pretty thin, but I don't mind as it allows me to layer underneath and it gives a more relaxed oversized fit. Okay, the pants. I've been eyeing these at Cotton On ever since it released. The fit of it is amazing and I love the slits at the bottom. I always have this problem when I wear flare pants that You can't see my shoes because my feet are so small. This is a game changer for me and I'll definitely be wearing it more.
